Global Service Corps (GSC) recommends you begin the enrollment process by submitting your initial application materials at least 90 days prior to the start date of your desired program. This is to provide you with adequate time to submit the required materials so that you will not be subject to the 60-day late fee or cancellation described below. If you initiate your enrollment process after the 60-day deadline, you will be charged a rush enrollment fee. (For rush enrollment details, see the application form.) Your enrollment in a GSC program consists of four steps:

Step 1: Prepare to make your application 
• Choose a GSC Program and destination. 
• Decide when to go and for how long. GSC service-learning programs have monthly start dates. 
• Prepare an updated resume. 
• Prepare your personal statement. Your one-page personal statement should describe your interests, skills and experiences, what you can personally bring to the program, and how you will benefit from the GSC experience.

Step 2: Complete your application and submit forms and deposit
• Go to the Apply Now page on the GSC website and submit your personal information, select a MyGSC username and password, and select your program, start dates, and duration.
• Upload your resume and one-page personal statement.
• Download and mail via post your application form to GSC: 300 Broadway, Suite 28, San Francisco, CA 94133.
• Pay your deposit either online or send a personal check or money order (payable to Global Service Corps) along with your application form.
• GSC staff will notify you via email when your application form and deposit have been received and your application materials have been reviewed. You will then be given access to your MyGSC page. Here you can access the additional participant forms that you will need to complete and submit to GSC, as well as the schedule of due dates. Please log on to your MyGSC page as soon as you have been notified by GSC staff that your MyGSC page has been activated.

Step 3: Pay balance due and submit additional participant forms that are due in the office 60 days before your program begins.
• Send your final payment by personal check or money order (payable to Global Service Corps) to the GSC office address above.
• Submit the participant forms.

Step 2 and 3 must be completed in time for all items to be received in the GSC office 60 days before your program start date. If you are unable to meet this due date your enrollment will be subject to a $300 late fee or cancellation. See the “Cancellation and Refund Policy” section of the GSC Application Form for complete details.

Step 4: Submit the second set of participant forms found on your MyGSC page that are due in the office 30 days before your program begins.

Step 4 must be completed in time for all items to be received in the GSC office 30 days before your program start date.  If you are unable to meet this due date, your enrollment will be subject to a $300 late fee or cancellation. See the “Cancellation and Refund Policy” section of the GSC Application Form for complete details.

You will not be granted final enrollment into the program until all of these four steps have been completed in a timely fashion. If you are close to any of the deadlines, GSC strongly suggests that you express mail the items that are expected in the office and upload the material to be submitted on your MyGSC page so that all of your participant material is received on time.
