Sophy Tun – Program Assistant
Sophy’s educational background includes a B.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Western University in Phnom Penh and a Diploma of Technician in Food Technology and Chemical Engineering from The Institute of Technology of Cambodia. In addition to teaching both English and Khmer at various schools, Sophy also worked at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge as a technician responsible for diagnosing and studying the resistance of HIV. Aside from Sophy’s professional acheivements, she enjoys spending time with her family and camping with friends. Now working as a GSC Cambodia Program Assistant, Sophy brings an enthusiastic presence to the programs, providing both technical and cultural insight.


Sophak Touch – Program Assistant
Prior to joining GSC in 2009, Sophak completed his B.A. in English Literature at Asia Euro University. He most recently worked as an English teacher at Cambodia International Cooperation Organization and KLT Training Center at Panha Chiet University. His three years working at Youth for Peace allowed him the opportunity to complete and participate in various workshops focusing on leadership trainings, conflict management and intervention, monitoring and evaluation, and the promotion of human rights. In his spare time, Sophak enjoys playing football and tennis, reading and playing guitar. As a GSC Program Assistant, Sophak helps to facilitate volunteer placements with Sophy and is an invaluable resource for our volunteers.
